The High Court clears way for Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan for acting in his three films, relaxing a bar imposed by a film society alliance.
A High Court bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Haque stayed a portion of a notice issued by the film society alliance led by Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti in this regard.
The bench came up with the decision after hearing a writ petition filed by Shapla Media, the production house for the three films.
The three films meanwhile signed by Shakib Khan are– ‘Ami Neta Hobo’, ‘Mamla Hamla Jhamela’, and ‘Kotha Diye Keu Kotha Rakhe Na.’
Shooting for one of the films will kick-off on July 25.
On July 18, ‘Bangladesh Cholochhitro Paribar’, an alliance of 18 organizations of film artists and directors issued a notice declaring Shakib Khan ‘persona non grata’ and requesting all film organization not to work with him.
